Hope Town is a small settlement on the island of
Elbow Cay with a rich history. It is just one of many
small islands that make up the Abacos. The Abacos are
the northernmost section of the Bahamas.
This amazingly beautiful chain of islands is just off
the coast of West Palm Beach Florida.
One thing that makes the
Abacos so unique is the Sea of Abaco, which is a
white sanded body of water (only 8-10 ft deep)
stretching for over 150 miles inside the outer islands
and thereby offering protected boating to all with
wonderful deep sea fishing just outside the islands.
Many visitors can not believe the endless beaches and
islands that present wonderful picnic and snorkeling
opportunities to all.
Hope Town itself offers a
picturesque and wholesome environment where visitors
and locals stroll through the narrow streets without
the hazards of cars and exchange greetings. The houses
are colorful and Victorian in style with the Hopetown
Lighthouse centered as the most photographed in all
the Bahamas. So come to Hope Town and step back in time
to a place so special and undiscovered - you will
return time and time again.
